The Alexandria Technical and Community College fishing team continues to make waves in the competitive angling world, as alumnus Walker Krampitz and current student Ryan Kieke delivered outstanding performances at the latest Champions Tour event on the St. Croix River in Hudson, Wis., August 6, 2024.

Alexandria College Legends athletes are hardworking individuals who are getting after it. One Legend drew the attention of the Minnesota Bassheads organization. Legends competitive angler Ryan Kieke answered questions from Tony Lee, an administrator of the Minnesota Bassheads Facebook group. Kieke was one of the top anglers of the Legends fall season and is one of four anglers competing nationally for the Legends this spring.

On this journey, four avid bass fishermen from Alexandria Technical College travel across the United States from Minnesota to Florida. On this journey two of the fisherman spoke out to share their story with others on how they got to where they were today and some of their amazing accomplishments they completed along the way.
