The latest buzz in bass fishing is the story of Easton Fothergill, a 22-year-old Minnesotan who won the 2025 Bassmaster Classic championship title.

The Alexandria Technical and Community College fishing team continues to make waves in the competitive angling world, as alumnus Walker Krampitz and current student Ryan Kieke delivered outstanding performances at the latest Champions Tour event on the St. Croix River in Hudson, Wis., August 6, 2024.

We celebrated our student-athletes at the second annual Legends Banquet on Monday, April 29 at Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.

The Alexandria College Legends Fishing team participated in the Abu Garcia College Fishing by Yeti tournament at Table Rock Lake, Branson, Mo., on April 5, 2024.

Alexandria College Legends athletes are hardworking individuals who are getting after it. One Legend drew the attention of the Minnesota Bassheads organization. Legends competitive angler Ryan Kieke answered questions from Tony Lee, an administrator of the Minnesota Bassheads Facebook group. Kieke was one of the top anglers of the Legends fall season and is one of four anglers competing nationally for the Legends this spring.

The Alexandria Legends Fishing team finished its regular season on October 9 and is sending four anglers to represent the school nationally.

The Legends Fishing team finished their fourth regular season (conference) tournament on Lake Ida near Alexandria, Minn. on September 7.

We celebrated our student athletes at the first annual Legends Banquet on Monday, May 1.
On this journey, four avid bass fishermen from Alexandria Technical College travel across the United States from Minnesota to Florida. On this journey two of the fisherman spoke out to share their story with others on how they got to where they were today and some of their amazing accomplishments they completed along the way. The trip was very successful for both teams down competing in Florida, next stop on the MLF tour is Lake of The Ozarks MO, March 17th. Video by Logan Huewe
