Legends Women’s Soccer fall 2023 season ends in a shootout loss to the Anoka-Ramsey Rams.
Alexandria Technical and Community College Legends Women’s Soccer team’s season ended in an overtime shootout loss to the Anoka-Ramsey Community College Rams in Coon Rapids, Minn., on October 18.

The Legends and the Rams took turns scoring in the semi-final playoff match, with each team finding the net three times during regulation play. Legends player Julissa Celis Victoria (Willmar) scored all three goals for Alexandria College. Victoria did so with assists from Ellen Johansson (Sweden) and Daniela Botello (Melrose).
Legends goalkeeper Molly Hanson (Fargo, N.D.) tallied nine saves during regulation and overtime play. The teams were tied 3-3 after regulation play and 20 minutes of overtime.
Due to the tied score, the game was decided by a shootout. Anoka Ramsey outscored the Legends in the shootout, with a final score of 3-2.
The Legends Soccer program is grateful for its second-year players who will be leaving the program. These students have helped create the foundation for the program to continue to build upon.
