The Anoka Ramsey Community College Rams charged hard but were no match for the Alexandria College Legends Women's soccer team, Coon Rapids, Minn., September 13.
Legends goalkeeper, Molly Hanson (Fargo, N.D.), tallied eight saves against the Rams. The strong defense allowed the Legends to walk away with the victory with a final score of 2-1.
It was the second half of the game where the Legends took the lead. Chloe Kraenzel (Dickinson, N.D.) put the Legends on the board with an assist from Julissa Celis Victoria (Willmar). Kraenzel's goal made the score 1-1.
The second goal, scored by Julissa Celis Victoria with an assist from Aime Bustillos (Avon, C.O.), put the Legends in the lead. The Legends held their ground to earn their second conference win of the season.
Legends Women's Soccer will compete at home against the Lake Superior College Ice Hawks on Sept. 29, at 5:00 p.m.
