Alexandria College Legends Julissa Celis Victoria (Willmar) pushed hard and scored three goals against the Lake Superior Ice Hawks during a regular season away game in Duluth, Minn., September 4.
Victoria was able to score the first goal with an assist from Lauren Huber (Alexandria), and the other two goals with assists from Chloe Kraenzel (Dickinson, N.D.). The Legends put 13 shots on net, scoring 3.
"The girls kept fighting for the ball the entire game, they showed a lot of resilience while playing in a very hot day," said Tom Roos, Legends Soccer co-head coach.
Though the Legends played hard, the Ice Hawks walked away with the victory with a final score of 4-3.
The Legends compete again at home against Dakota County Technical College on Sept. 9 at 7p.m. at the Alexandria High School Stadium.
