Alexandria College welcomes Heather Trosdahl as the new head coach for the Legends Volleyball team.
Trosdahl will take command of the Legends Volleyball team in the 2024-25 season. The Legends finished their most recent season with a 3rd place finish at the NJCAA Division III National Championship, with Trosdahl guiding the team as a volunteer assistant coach.
She provides the team with an extensive knowledge of volleyball from the perspective of both a player and a coach. She played volleyball in high school while attending Melrose Area High School. After high school, she went on to play for Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minn., for two seasons, 2006 and 2007, and her team won the 2007 NJCAA Division III National Championship.
Trosdahl started her coaching journey when she started coaching volleyball in Little Falls, Minn., in 2010. She gained experience coaching college volleyball by becoming a volunteer assistant coach at Central Lakes College in 2021 and 2022. She was the head coach for the 15s club team with Midwest Power Volleyball, St. Cloud, Minn., in 2023 and is the current head coach of the 15s Heat club team with Ignite Volleyball Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Trosdahl is a welcomed addition to the Legends coaching staff.
