Legends Volleyball Top MCAC North, Head to Playoffs
After a winning season, the Alexandria Technical & Community College Legends Women’s Volleyball team is headed to the playoffs as the #1 seed in the MCAC North.
Alexandria, Central Lakes College, and Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range all tied for first in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) North Division, with records of 10-2. All three teams were 1-1 against each other in the regular season, so the tiebreaker came down to set records, comparing points scored by each team in their season matchups. The Legends beat the CLC Raiders 3-2 on Wednesday, October 18, in their final game of the regular season.
The Legends will start the upcoming district tournament as the #1 seed from MCAC North based on their strong performance against CLC and Mesabi Range in the regular season.
MCAC North Seeds:
- Alexandria Technical & Community College
- Central Lakes College
- Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range
- Northland Community & Technical College
In their first district game, the Legends will face Rochester Community & Technical College (11-5) in Anoka on Friday, October 27, at 5:00 pm.
