Legends win in home opener
Packed house celebrated Bell Bank for their scoreboard sponsorship
The Legends Volleyball team defeated Itasca Community College 3-1 in their home opener on Sept. 7 in front of a packed house in the newly renovated Legends Gym.
It was the first varsity Volleyball game played in the gym since 1986.
Prior to the game, scoreboard sponsors Bell Bank were on hand to cut the ribbon with Alexandria Technical & Community College leadership and Legends Athletics coaches to mark the occassion.
Students and fans packed the gym for the home opener with overflow seating set up in an adjacent room watching the livestream.
The win brings the Legends record to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference with their next competition on the road against Mesabi Range Community & Technical College. The Legends will be back at home on Sept. 21 versus Central Lakes College-Brainerd.
