Legends Women’s Soccer team goes head-to-head with the Lake Superior IceHawks.

Alexandria College Legends Women's soccer team battled with Lake Superior College IceHawks in Alexandria, Minn., on September 29.

At the start of the game, the IceHawks applied pressure to the Legends and scored within the first five minutes. But the pressure did not phase the Legends defense. During this conference match-up, Julissa Celis Victoria (Willmar) rotated with Daniela Botello (Melrose) at center defender. The two of them, along with other defenders Ellen Johansson (Sweden), Josi Hansen (Nicollet), and Meghan Barton (Plymouth) limited Lake Superior to just two shots on goal.

In the final 4 minutes of the match, Julissa Celis Victoria dribbled past the Lake Superior defenders and tied the game with an unassisted goal. Victoria's goal allowed the final score to be 1-1 ending the match in a tie.
