Legends Golf Team rallies for strong finish at the Bemidji Invitational.

The Alexandria College Legends men's golf team showed their determination and skill this past week at the Bemidji Town and Country Club, Bemidji, Minn., September 9-10, 2024.

The Legends has a rough first day during the tournament, finishing in 10th place. The Legends were able to rally and battle their way back leading to a 4th place finish in a highly competitive field of 12 teams.

The Legends team scores were 306 in the first round, and 291 in round the second totaling 597 for the tournament. The Legends' final score of +29 put them within five strokes of second place in a tightly contested event.

The Legends faced tough competition from Bemidji State University, Augustana University, the University of Sioux Falls, and other regional powerhouses.

Legend Golfer Justin Orn led the way finishing tied for 4th overall with a total score of +3 (73-72). His consistent performance kept the Legends within striking distance of the top three teams.

Teammates, Luke Ashbrook had an outstanding second round, shooting a 70 to finish tied for 13th at +6 (78-70), and Drew Imdieke secured a top-20 finish with a +9 (75-76) to place tied for 20th.

Brady Schwinghammer rebounded from a tough first round to finish tied for 32nd at +11 (80-73), and Noah Falteysek rounded out the Legends squad, finishing tied for 52nd with a total of +19 (80-81).
