Men's Golf 10th Place at Nationals
The NJCAA DII National Golf Championship was held in Plymouth, IN at the Swan Lake Resort.
The Alexandria Legends Men's Golf team took 10th place at The NJCAA DII National Golf Championship. This was our first fully recruited team and only our 3rd year as a program. The Legends were the newest team at the tournament, and most teams competing have had their golf programs for many, many years. Jayme French took 22nd place individually which put him on the All-American Team.
"The course was set up very hard all four days and our guys played the best golf that I have seen them play since the start of the program," said Head Coach Scott Dirck. "We are the newest program in the tournament, with our first fully recruited class. I am truly proud of what these guys have done."
French, who graduated from the Business Transfer Pathway program this year, noted, "The national tournament was a blast, it was awesome to be with all the guys one last time. We got off to a slow start but every day we climbed up the leaderboard. Super happy with the result and it was definitely an emotional ending to an amazing 2 years."
