Men's Golf competes at Maverick Desert Classic in Arizona
Lukas Justesen led the Legends, finishing with a two-day total of 146 to tie for ninth place.
On March 6-7 the Legends Men's Golf team competed in the Maverick Desert Classic at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, AZ. The team finished seventh overall, with a total score of 617 (309-308). Lukas Justesen led the Legends, finishing with a two-day total of 146 (74-72) to tie for ninth place. Hank Sogge also had a great second day score of 72.
"I think for the first tournament of the year and being on grass for the first time in a while, it went decent," said Justesen. "I think we had the ability to play better especially coming down the stretch on the back nine both days. I think individually it was nice to see all my hard work over this winter pay off with a couple good rounds. But it was a good bonding experience for the team and I think everybody had a lot of fun."
In April the Legends head to Ames, IA for the Jimmie Spring Swing, in preparation for the NJCAA National Tournament in May.
