Men's Golf tops Region IV Preview

Led by Hank Sogge of Eagan, MN, who won the tournament individually, Legends Men's Golf finished first in the Region IV Preview on Sept. 30 at Prairie View Golf Club in Byron, Ill.

As a team, the Legends set a school record scoring 300 to lead the competition by six strokes.

Sogge scored a 72 and was followed by Jayme French (74) who finished sixth individually. Lukas Justesen (77), Connor Josephson (77), and Gannon Walsh (81) rounded out the top-five scorers for the Legends.

"Well, I wasn't hitting it great off the tee so I knew I had to keep it play and give myself a shot at the green," Sogge said. "Thankfully my irons and short game were really solid. It's a nice course and I'm excited to play it again."

The win gives the Legends a boost of confidence as they head back to Byron, Ill., Oct. 6-8 for the Region IV Tournament.
