The Alexandria Technical and Community College Legends Clay Target team clinched the first-place spot in the MCAC Fall Championship on October 15, 2024, held at the Alexandria Shooting Park, Alexandria, Minn.

The team outshot Bismarck State College by a razor-thin margin of one point, bringing home the championship trophy with a final score of 482, compared to Bismarck's 481, and North Dakota State College of Science's 478.
Championship Highlights:
The competition, which ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. following an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m., saw top performances from Alexandria's student-athletes. Each competitor shot 100 targets, with scores recorded online and in the clubhouse.
Zachery Boelman tied for 1st place in both the Varsity Male and Overall High Gun categories with a stellar score of 98. Boelman's consistency was evident as he secured two significant achievements: a 50-straight patch and a 25-straight patch.
Kourtney Harms also made her mark, finishing in 2nd place for Varsity Female High Gun with a score of 97. Her overall performance tied her for 8th place in the Varsity Overall standings. Nicole Ray rounded out the Legends' individual accolades with a 3rd place finish in the Varsity Female category, scoring 95.

In addition to Boelman's 50-straight and 25-straight performances, several other Legends athletes earned 25-straight patches during the championship, showcasing the team's remarkable precision and focus. The full list of 25-straight winners included Brody Erickson, Zach Erickson, Corbin Hadrava, Kourtney Harms, Dylan Hennen, Parker Johnson, Travis Luitjens, Nicole Ray, and Hunter Sterk.

The MCAC Fall Championship victory caps off an impressive fall season for the Legends Clay Target team. They finished as the White Division runner-up with a total season score of 2,520. Throughout the season, individual athletes continually shined:
- Travis Luitjens claimed the title of White Division Men's High Gun with an average of 24.40.
- Zachery Boelman was close behind, finishing 2nd with a matching average of 24.40.
- Kourtney Harms secured 2nd place in the White Division Women's High Gun with an average of 22.70, while Taylor Storz took 3rd with a 22.20 average.
Patch accolades for the season were led by Luitjens and Boelman, both earning multiple 50-straight and 25-straight honors. Boelman alone collected four 25-straight patches during the season.
With a thrilling fall campaign behind them, the Legends Clay Target team is already setting its sights on the upcoming spring season.
