The following is an excerpt from the article, Alexandria College teams fall to Dakota County Tech, by Jake Sutherlin, Echo Press.
"We lost our heads and didn't stay cool," Gomez said. "Players didn't track with their runners. We've been working on a lot of this stuff in practice, but we didn't apply it today. The main focus for us to get better is making sure we are more composed in those moments."
The Legends women's team took to the field after where Molly Hanson (Fargo, N.D.) played a hard game against the Blue Knights with 11 saves during the home game.
Despite Hanson's goal-keeping skills, the Blue Knights were able to fill the net three times allowing them to walk away with the win.
With an assist from Julissa Celis Victoria (Willmar), Chloe Kraenzel (Dickinson, N.D.) scored the only Legends goal of the game. The final score was 3 to 1.
The Legend's Soccer will hit the road to compete again against the Anoka Ramsey Community College Rams on Sept. 13, men's game at 3:30 p.m. and women's game at 5:30 p.m.
