Scrimmage helps Legends set pace

The Alexandria College Legends Women's Soccer team traveled to Morris to experience competition against a four-year established college soccer program for a scrimmage. 

Although no official score was kept, Juissa Celis Victoria scored the only goal for the Legends.

"Playing an established team from a four-year college program left our girls feeling a little shell shocked and beaten down," said Coach Tom Roos. Some of the inaugural Legends Women's Soccer team are experiencing the pitch in competition for the first time. Despite varied levels of experience of the team, they are showing strong play in their first outings.

"That game will serve as a baseline and we hope to see evidence of significant growth as the season continues," Roos said.
