Legends competitive angler Ryan Kieke answered questions from Tony Lee, an administrator of the Minnesota Bassheads Facebook group. Kieke was one of the top anglers of the Legends fall season and is one of four anglers competing nationally for the Legends this spring.

How did you first get into bass fishing?
Like most, my dad and grandpa took me fishing when I was younger mostly for walleye and panfish. I started the ROCORI High School fishing team and that's where my love for bass fishing came about!
What club or tournament group do you belong to (if any)?
I fish for the Alexandria College fishing team and will be fishing Champs tour this summer.
What are your favorite techniques for catching bass?
Dropshot, jig worm, swimjig, jig, and anything topwater!

What are some of your favorite fishing brands?
Mossy Creek Custom Rods and Tackle, Super K, Seaguar, Rapala
Any big accomplishments as a bass angler?
Top 8 Team of the year in SATT two years in a row, placed in the top 40 for the HS national championship on Pickwick, and started my business Mossy Creek Custom Rods and Tackle.
What else do you do for fun?
When I'm not on the water, I spend most of my time building rods, whitetail/waterfowl hunting, ice fishing, playing racquetball, and hockey!
